Why NonCognizant?

I like to think of myself as your average middle of the road person. There are some things I'm liberal about, and some things I'm conservative about.

Lately though, I've started to get fed up with watching/listening/reading the news to the point where I just don't care as much as I used to about what's going on in the world. There's always some person or group of people discussing issues that affect the many, very matter-of-factly, without realizing what they are saying is nonsense.

Hence the name of the blog. The Unknowing, Unaware world, or NonCognizant for short. Ideally, I would have loved to call it Common Nonsense, or something cool like that, but like most great internet names, it was already taken by someone else who hasn't posted something in the last 8 years. After looking at a thesaurus, I thought the word Cognizant sounded catchy.

cog·ni·zant (kog-nuh-zuhnt) adj:
knowledgeable of something; to be aware

And so i set forth on my first real blogging experience, to poke fun at the news of the day by pointing out the nonsense they seem to not know or be aware they are saying. In the process, I will most likely spout my own kind of nonsense many, many times. But hey, better to express my thoughts and feelings on this, than to create drama at work by talking politics at the office.
